the criteria specified in paragraphs (ヲ) through (ェ、); and a reduction to less than 80 percent of the normal value (50 percent when in compliance with the criteria specified in (ヲ) through (ェ、)) where two carriers are emitted from the localizer, in the output power of either carrier.
?. The malfunctioning of the monitoring function of the monitoring equipment itself.
c)The glide slope equipment shall have the following performance, structure, etc.:
(。)It shall emit modulated radio frequency carriers in order to indicate the amount of vertical displacement from the course line by providing a difference in the percentage modulation of the two tones, for an aircraft conducting a precision approach along the course line.
(「)The emission of the carrier waves which is amplitude modulated by 90 Hz and 150 Hz modulated waves shall produce a composite electric field in space.
(「)-2. Where two carriers are transmitted from a glide slope, the composite electric field shall be produced by the emission of one of the carriers which is amplitude modulated by 150 Hz modulated waves in addition to the production of the composite electric field by the other carriers.
(」)The composite electric field shall be such that above the glide path, the percentage modulation by the 90 Hz modulated waves is greater than that of the 150 Hz modulated waves and below the glide path, the percentage modulation by 150 Hz is greater than the 90 Hz modulated waves to an angle equal to which the vertical angle (in the vertical plane of the glide slope, the angle formed by the line connecting the point of the vertical plane with the intersecting point on the runway and the horizontal plane, hereinafter, the same shall apply) is 1.75 times greater than the angle formed by the glide path and the horizontal.
(、)The emissions from the glide slope equipment shall be horizontally polarized and the vertically polarized component of the emissions shall be as small as possible.
(・)For Facility Performance Category III-ILS, the fluctuation of the glide path shall not exceed 0.02 by the corresponding DDM value within the frequency band between 0.01 Hz and 10 Hz.
(ヲ)The glide path projection angle shall be adjusted from 2 to 4 degrees with respect to the horizontal.
(ァ)The glide path angle with respect to the horizontal shall be maintained within 7.5 percent from the established value for Facility Performance Category I- ILS, the Category II-ILS and 4.0 percent from the established value for Facility Performance Category III-ILS.
(ィ)The horizontal field strength emitted from the glide slope equipment shall be not less than 400 microvolts per meter within the rated coverage (the coverage shall be limited at 30 meters above the horizontal plane of the approach end of the runway threshold for Facility Performance Category I-ILS and at 15
